Invasive plant species spread aggressively and crowd out native plant species, even killing mature trees. Here in Summer Village, we are seeing Bittersweet, Multiflora Rose, Knotweed, Garlic Mustard and Buckthorn spreading. SV  Conservation Committee has been granted DEP (334-1822) project approval from the Westford Conservation Committee to move forward with containing the spread.  This allows us to work diligently and carefully in our sensitive watershed areas.
